On 13th October 2024, the Embassy of Spain in Qatar hosted a memorable celebration of Spanish National Day at the prestigious Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl. The event brought together a distinguished group of guests, including government officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and members of the Spanish community.
The Ambassador of Spain in Qatar, His Excellency Javier Carbajosa Sánchez warmly welcomed the attendees and later delivered a speech highlighting key points regarding the strong bilateral relations between Spain and Qatar, as well as addressing current international events. He emphasized the excellent collaboration between the two countries across various sectors, such as trade, defense, and human rights. Additionally, he made a call for peace and respect in the face of complex global challenges, underscoring the importance of joint efforts to ensure stability in the region.
The Ambassador also reiterated Spain’s commitment to the international community and its support for peaceful solutions to conflicts, always upholding diplomatic values and mutual respect.
Following the speech, guests witnessed the traditional cutting of the cake, symbolizing the fraternity and friendship between nations.
Among the distinguished attendees was the Minister of Labour, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, the Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari and other prominent Qatari authorities, along with numerous representatives of the international community in Doha.
