Aguas de Valencia Internacional, a leading Spanish company in the management of the full water cycle, has been awarded a new contract in the State of Qatar, thus reinforcing its position in the Gulf region and its commitment to sustainability and technological innovation in arid environments.

The contract covers the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the sanitation infrastructure in the northern area of Qatar, which represents one-third of the country, over a period of 5 years, with an estimated budget of 350 million euros and under a framework contract. The main assets included in the contract are 1,000 km of sanitation network, 70 pumping stations with the largest having a capacity of 910,000 m³/day, 11 wastewater treatment plants with the largest having a capacity of 245,000 m³/day, 1,000 km of treated water network, 800 km of stormwater network, and 200,000 drainage assets, serving a total population of 1.3 million inhabitants.

For this, a mobilization of approximately 600 material and human resources from more than 20 different nationalities is expected.
